David Beckham Takes Legal Action Against Magazine
Newscast Media — David Beckham is taking legal action against a US magazine that published allegations claiming the footballer paid a whore $10, 000 a night for sex.
In a statement, his representatives said the claims were “completely untrue and totally ridiculous, as the magazine was clearly told before publication”.
“Sadly we live in a world where a magazine can print lies and believe they can get away with it.”
Last year, Beckham accepted libel damages from the Daily Star newspaper after it claimed he had made advances towards a model.
The US magazine at the center of this controversy is InTouch magazine. The magazine alleged that Davide Beckham slept with an escort known only as Miss Nici in a New York hotel room in 2007. The gossip magazine has further reported that Miss Nici flew in to London a month later to render her services to the sportstar.
“We had great chemistry,” she told InTouch. “I’ve seen quite a few high-profile people. He isn’t full of himself. He’s a really nice guy.”
Beckham, married for 11 years, has been a regular target of attempts to portray him as a philanderer, ever since the tabloid scandal of 2004 when Rebecca Loos, his former personal assistant, claimed to have had an affair with him while he was playing for Real Madrid. http://newscastmedia.com/beckham-sues.htm

Manager says David Beckham too old to play
Newscast Media –Fabio Capello, England’s manager has said that David
Beckham’s international career is over, after an ankle injury ended the midfielder’s dreams of playing in the World Cup. Despite being part of Capello’s backroom team in South Africa, it does not seem like there will be a place for Beckham when England embarks on qualifying for Euro 2012.
“I say thank you very much for helping me at the World Cup but probably he is a little bit old,” Capello told ITV ahead of the friendly with Hungary at Wembley.
After spending much of his career in the spotlight, it seems like a very low-key end to Beckham’s international career, but fits in with Fabio Capello’s no nonsense management style.
With such a disappointing display in South Africa, Capello seems to be looking to the stars of the future as he prepares for Euro 2012 qualifying, with the likes of Jack Wilshere and Kieran Gibbs earning a place in the England squad against Hungary.
With injury preventing him from playing in South Africa, Beckham was instead asked to be part of England’s backroom staff, and although disappointed by England’s exit, the midfielder was still wholehearted in his support of Capello.
“Obviously, England’s performance was disappointing,” he said in a press conference.
“That’s in the past, but with some people it’s still fresh. It was disappointing. The players know that and the manager knows that. Now, though, we need to rebuild and we need to make sure it’s right going forward. There’s no better manager that could be in charge there to get that done.”
