Las Vegas Exploding With Hip-hop Culture

Newscast Media Las Vegas — The Hip Hop International descended upon Red Rock Casino in Vegas bringing over 1,500 dancers from 30 different countries. On August 6 and 7, eight of the world’s most respected B-boy crews will battle in the inaugural Ultimate B-Boy Championship in the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Cirque du Soleil has also announced plans to create a Michael Jackson-themed show, which will tour next fall and settle in Vegas in 2012. http://newscastmedia.com/popculture.htm

Debbie Allen Dance Company Wows Houstonians

NewscastMedia.com — Debbie Allen and Her Dance Company wowed Houston audiences at the Wortham center with song and dance. Among the different dances were, Hip-hop, freestyle, tap, ballet and a lot more. After the event, several scholarships were given out to her talented and deserving students.

The Evolution of Street Dance

NewscastMedia – This episode we present to you the origins of modern freestyle dance. Going back to Boogaloo Sam, the Electric Boogaloos, the invention of poppin’ and lockin’ BBoys and BGirls, breaking and waving.
