Nancy Pelosi says she doesn’t lose sleep over the midterms at all

Nancy Pelosi

Newscast Media — In a display of confidence, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said on This Week with Christiane Amanpour, “I’m not nervous at all. I never take anything for granted. And our agenda now is, we’re not going back to the failed policies of the Bush administration. We’re going forward.”

However, the video below shows a nervous Nancy Pelosi as she seemed puzzled when her supporters turned against her.

In the interview, Amanpour asked Pelosi, “So what does it make you feel then, when the president’s own spokesman said that you might lose the majority?” A defiant Pelosi answered, “With all due respect, I don’t spend a whole lot of time thinking about what the president’s employees say about one thing or another.”

In reference to White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, she continued to say, “So we feel very confident about where we are, whether that’s well known to that gentleman or not.”

Amanpour then asked, “What is it you can do for the people in this highly polarized situation?” To which Pelosi shot back, “First of all, what you define as a highly polarized situation is a very big difference of opinion, the Republicans are here for the special interests, we’re here for the people’s interests.”

Pelosi denied that Inter-party bickering was what it appeared to be. She said it was simply philosophical difference. http://newscastmedia.com/nancy-pelosi.htm

Republicans release attack ad on Obama & Co. called “14 Weeks”

Newscast Media Houston, TX– Spearheaded by Gov. Rick Perry of Texas, Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Chris Christie of New Jersey, the Republican Governors Association has released its first major attack ad on the Obama administration called 14 Weeks.

The narrator says, “For too long, our nation has been governed by politicians in Washington DC, detached from the people. Out of touch with our concerns. Dictating how we are supposed to live our lives. Eliminating our freedoms…and binding our children and grandchildren to lives buried in debt. America, we can do better.

Through the governors alliance, the Republican Governors Association is looking to humanity’s best asset…the individual citizen, for the answers to the great challenges, of our generation.

Believing in the strength, not of Washington, but of the states, our local communities, and one another, to lead our country forward… from the team that helped bring back New Jersey, Virginia. Join us, as America once again…triumphs.”

The ad also features former president Ronald Reagan who speaks at the end saying, “We must act today, in order to preserve tomorrow.” The 14 weeks, I assume, is in reference to the amount of time left before the November elections. http://newscastmedia.com/rga.htm
