 Texas Governor Rick perry was sworn in together with Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst with Pastor Ed Young Sr. of Second Baptist Church in Houston delivering the invocation.  At the end of the day, the Most Reverend Joe S. Vasquez, Bishop of Austin imparted the inaugural blessing upon all those in attendance.  Texas A&M University Singing Cadets together with Texas A&M Fightin' Texas Aggie Band closed the ceremony with their rendition of "Texas Our Texas."
