Newscast Media HOUSTON, Texas -- The news was already viral in Libya that the man in the videos was someone different than Gadhafi, and to set news ablaze, the BBC tweeted that residents in Sirte had identified the man in the video and photos as Gaddafi double called Ali Majid Al-Andalus, who was an inhabitant of Sirte in Libya, and was famous for his resemblance to their brother Leader of the El Fateh Revolution.
Ali Majid was well-known because he was so similar in looks to Col. M. Gaddafi, and for the last 20 years, he was trader at local store in Sirte. Here is a Facebook page for the man many Libyans consider the greatest patriot of their country for sacrificing his life. (pop-up)Shortly after the videos were shown, ALGERIA ISP released this statement that has been translated to English from French: "The Mujahid Muammar Gaddafi is in excellent health and has an excellent morale. The information of the capture of the Libyan leader is simply a lie spewed by CNT / NATO broadcast through the media lies that have sold their objective to become real journalist NATO soldiers and members of The Qaeda. This lie was among others charged by the CNT / NATO, just to demoralize the troops of the Libyan resistance bravely defending the city of Sirte and in other cities, fighting to free them from the clutches of members of the Qaeda and the NATO. This lie was announced today, to break the second day of the uprising Friday, October 21, 2011." The original text can be found here. (pop-up) Media as foreign agentsNATO acknowledges that it was the foreign media that helped in providing intel to the rebels and NATO in order to fulfill their Libyan mission. In an interview on Radio Canada, Lieutenant-General Charles Bouchard, who led Operation Unified Protector in Libya, admitted that foreign journalists in Libya were assets of the Atlantic Alliance. Shortly before the fall of Tripoli, Thierry Meyssan caused a stir by affirming that most Western journalists staying at the Hotel Rixos were NATO agents. (pop-up) To fortify the unit, Bouchard said several information networks were created. "The intelligence came from many sources, including the media who were on the ground and provided us with a lot of information regarding the intentions and the location of the ground forces," he said. Skeptics in Libya believe that the videos circulated on the Web are Hollywood type videos, and what made the Libyans even more suspicious is that on October 25, Obama held a secret meeting with Hollywood movie makers. The event was not a fundraiser, and attendees were not asked to donate to the Obama reelection campaign. The entire story was reported here on the Hollywood insider. Skeptics also note that the man in the video was a lot shorter than Gadhafi and had brownish hair while Gadhafi's hair was jet black. The war had been waged for eight months and Gadhafi's troops held their own, so skeptics believe the aim of the video was to please Hillary Clinton who demanded that she wanted Moammar Qaddafi "dead or alive." Within 24 hours she got her wish. As for Saif-Al Islam Gadhafi, he denies negotiating any surrender deal and vows to continue the fight since over 95 percent of Libyans still support Gadhafi. Saif Gadhafi has reportedly been advised to lay low and is being protected by Tuareg warriors who are the best desert fighters in the world, and are able to move in the desert with stealth, without being detected by the most sophisticated technology. It is said that the Tuaregs are capable of traveling 30 miles a day with minimal amounts of water and just a handful of dates. Gadhafi better stay dead, because if the Bedouin makes a second coming, both the mainstream media and Obama administration will completely lose credibility. NATO played it safe, and was careful not to announce his capture or death. This journalist has hereby presented both sides of the story, and it is now up to the readers to choose which side to believe.
